Celebrate with Project Happiness Bakehouse

Posted on: August 29th, 2011 by

Meet my friend, Iris. She is a young and dedicated mom who recently found a passion for baking and has teamed up with her husband to create delightful custom art cakes. Let me take you on a quick photo tour of the cakes of Project Happiness Bakehouse.

Iris started serious baking in January 2010.  It was an aunt who had showed her how to make cakes, muffins and pizzas. But what really pushed her to try baking cakes and cupcakes was when after so much experimenting, she realized that she was already splurging too much on cupcakes!

Giving up the corporate life was not a hard decision for Iris as she has given priority to the needs of family and home life.  Two years into it, she has quite settled and now enjoys being a work-at-home mom doing blogging, online selling and now baking.

Cakes are often associated with celebrations, especially kiddie birthday cakes, so she makes lots of these.

Cupcakes are also preferred whether in lieu of the cake or as an addition to the cake.

Plain cupcakes (with swirls & sprinkles) are sold at Php504 per dozen.  Fondant toppers are an additional Php5 for simple cutout topping,  Php15 for a 2D topping and a 3D topper is Php25 and up depending on the design.

Not just for kiddie cakes, Iris makes wonderful cakes for all occasions. I’m just amazed at how these cakes are meticulously done.. they remind me of that U.S. TV show that makes similar cakes.

The price of a custom 6” fondant cake is Php950 and up depending on the design.  An 8” fondant cake  is at Php1500 and up, again, depending on the design. Cake and cupcake packages are also offered from Php2,250 and up.

Project Happiness Bakehouse is a team effort where Iris does the baking and her husband, Marcelle, is the sugarcraft artist that makes the toppers.  So when a client says “They’re beautiful!”, she gives all the credit to her husband.  Then when the client says “They’re yummy!”, she’s happy and she knows that Project Happiness for that client is  complete.

Project Happiness Bakehouse is based in Bacoor, Cavite. They offer Pasay/Makati meet-ups for Metro Manila orders at a reasonable meet-up fee.
