Twenty six years ago today, our country amazed the world when it showed how democracy can be restored through a so-called bloodless revolution with prayers, courage, faith and “kapit-bisig” winning over guns, force and violence. Often called People Power Revolution, this has become one, if not the most, memorable event in recent Philippine history.
As we all remember and take pride anew to this historical event, may we also remember that to keep true democracy in our country, it is necessary for each of us to be role models to each other, as best stated in e Preamble of our Philippine Constitution.
