Enrichment + Tutorial = Number Works ‘n Words

Number Works ‘n Words is an international learning center that was introduced to me during their summer program launch last March. With their combined personal and computer-based tutoring, they offer a solution that maximizes kids’ learning by making them “enjoy” learning.
I got the chance to meet Professor DC Handy, Managing Director of Number Works n’ Words. He explained that in their center, computer-based games and activities are used as a learning tool which help kids master and advance their skills in Math and English. These games and activities are organized into different modules and learning levels for individualized learning.
The Number Works ‘n Words program can be utilized in many ways which makes it very flexible. One way is for supplemental learning and enrichment. The student is evaluated at the beginning to determine his level in their program. With the aid of a tutor, he can then start the learning modules in that level then take the assessment tests to move on to the next modules.
Another way is as a side-by-side tutorial with the student’s current lessons. If a student needs further practice on a certain topic, he can go directly to the module topic and work on the activities until he has mastered it. Here you will see how effective their program would be when you see the improvement in your child’s grades in school.

The beauty of Number Works ’n Words’ formula is that it makes kids fully enjoy the learning process. Even though the subject matter is serious and the practice is hard work, this does not mean they can’t enjoy doing it.
