Happy World Teachers’ Day
October 5 is the day we celebrate teachers’ day worldwide. Spearheaded by UNESCO, this is the 18th year of the worldwide recognition of one of the noble professions in the world — teaching.

Here in the Philippines, World Teachers’ Day is very much celebrated as a culmination of Teachers’ Month Campaign led by the Department of Education (DepEd). From September 5 – October 5, various activities were conducted still with the theme “My Teacher, My Hero”.

Have You Thanked A Teacher Lately?
“All of us were once students and we all have at least one teacher who have made a difference in our lives and to whom we owe who we are today,” Secretary of Education Br. Armin A. Luistro said.
DepEd encourages you to greet and thank your teachers by posting a message on their Teachers’ Month Campaign Facebook Page or by sending a Twitter message and adding the hashtag #ThankYouTeacher
Here’s mine –

Dr. Pridmore and Dr. Barnett were my college professors.
But nothing will beat, of course, a greeting done in person. You kids could definitely do that 🙂
