I am for Peace
On Friday, September 14, 2012, the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) will be launching their “I am for Peace” campaign in Malacañan Palace.
Leading this campaign launch will be Pres. Noynoy Aquino, Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Teresita Quintos Deles and selected “National Peace Ambassadors” composed of top celebrities like Black Eyed Peas singer apl.de.ap, Anne Curtis, Gerald Anderson, Derek Ramsey and a host of other celebrities from various industries. Together they will all take the pledge and declare –“I choose peace, I want peace – I am for peace!”
The “I am for Peace” campaign is one of the major activities the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) has lined up in this year’s celebration of the peace month themed “Ako. Ikaw. Tayo. Magkakaiba, Nagkakaisa sa Kapayapaan.” For 2012, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) serves as the official sponsor of the month-long festivities.
“Now, more than ever, we have the momentum and leadership needed to write the Philippine success story as a progressive and peaceful nation. The time for peace is now,” Deles said, calling on everyone to take part in sharing the message of peace in homes, in schools, in workplaces, and in communities.
Schoolkid.Ph praises OPAPP for this campaign and wishes its full success. Indeed the time for peace is now. Times are much harder now and cooperation of each one is crucial. There will always be differences among us but if we work together for a solution will always be found and peace could easily be in our reach.
