School Year End Wrap Up
It’s the end of the school year and our children have completed another year of learning. Let’s see what has grown over the school year.
The Lost & Found – it just amazes me that water jugs and lunch boxes can be ‘consumable’ items. Oh, and do I even see a school bag there?

Our kid’s height – more evident in the preschoolers and the tweeners. So, who says they shoot up only during summer?

But seriously, what experienced the most growth was our kid’s minds.
Here are my boys taking their last walk to school together for this school year.

My youngest had the most remarkable achievement, now able to read and write sentences correctly on his own. This opens up a whole new world to him, giving him a bigger sense of self-worth and independence.
My middle son, whose lessons were quite similar to last year (though made more difficult), has mastered enough to prepare him in tackling the middle school years where lessons are way more challenging and self-discipline in studying is more essential.
My oldest son, now has a mind enriched with our country’s history that during our vacation last month, he refreshed our memory about Bohol’s rich history.
Wrapping up the school year need not be done with just a big sigh of relief. While still fresh in their minds, bring your kids out to their favorite restaurant and do a look-back on the school year. Ask them what they enjoyed in the last school year. Also ask them what they didn’t enjoy and what they think they need to do next school year to make it enjoyable.
